What is MCPlan?

MCPlan is a task manager built for the AI era. It exposes your projects, sections, tasks, and labels over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so Claude and other MCP-compatible AI tools can read and write your plans directly.

How does MCPlan work with Claude?

Generate an API key in MCPlan, point Claude Desktop or Claude Code at the MCP server, and Claude can list projects, create tasks, import full markdown plans, and complete work on your behalf.

Is MCPlan free?

Yes. The Free plan includes 10 projects, unlimited tasks, and 50 MCP actions per month. Pro unlocks 500 projects and 1,000 MCP actions per month. Team adds shared workspaces, roles, and 1,000 pooled MCP actions per seat per month. Yearly plans save 20%.

What is the Model Context Protocol?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard from Anthropic that lets AI applications securely connect to data sources and tools. MCPlan implements the MCP server spec so any compliant client can talk to it.

Can I import an existing plan?

Yes. MCPlan supports round-trippable markdown plans. Ask your AI to draft a plan in markdown, call the import_plan MCP tool, and you get a real project with structured sections, tasks, subtasks, priorities, and labels.
